Michelle and Michael’s NYC elopement was a heartfelt return to the city that shaped so much of their story together. Although they now live in Albany, New York City will always feel like home to them, which made getting married at Manhattan City Hall in NYC an easy choice. After their ceremony, we wandered through the Financial District capturing a mix of editorial style portraits and documentary elopement photos in NYC that truly reflected the energy of the day and the city. As an elopement photographer in NYC, one of my favorite parts of the experience is guiding couples through all the hidden corners and iconic spots around the City Hall area that photograph beautifully.
For Michelle and Michael, the day was less about posing and more about simply being together and enjoying the excitement of just getting married. We walked through the Financial District and kept everything easygoing and natural. Their gallery became a mix of stylish NYC elopement portraits and candid moments that felt true to the experience of spending the day together in the city they love so much.
